Research

Our research is structured around three main thematic areas: Microbiology ; Structural Biology  & Biophysics and Biochemistry & Biotechnology. While each of these fields explores proteins from a distinct scientific perspective- ranging from atomic-level structural analysis and biophysical characterization, to enzymatic mechanisms, protein engineering, and microbial protein function- they are united by a shared focus on proteins as central biological actors. This multidisciplinary framework fosters strong synergies across research directions, enabling the development of cross-cutting approaches and the integration of complementary expertise. By combining advanced structural methods, biochemical strategies, and microbiological models, our team is uniquely positioned to tackle complex biological questions through collaborative and innovative science.

Our research center is supported by three technological platforms that play a central role in advancing our scientific programs. These platforms provide state-of-the-art equipment, technical expertise, and specialized know-how aligned with the core research themes developed within the Center. They offer essential support for experimental design, data acquisition, and analysis. In addition to their technical contributions, the platforms are actively involved in training the researchers, including PhD students and postdoctoral fellows. By facilitating hands-on learning and skill development, they contribute to building scientific capacity within the Center. Access to these platforms is open to all members of the research community.
